Question
do you know of any virus related to extreme dizziness on body position changes?

Thank you.

Answer
Dear Terry:

Vestibular Neuronitis or "Labyrinthitis" is believed to be a viral infection of the inner ear.  It is also called "Neurolabyrinthitis".  It is often followed by benign positional paroxysmal vertigo or BPPV.  The conditions are described more fully on my vertigo website at: www.ivertigo.net .

Specificially:
http://ivertigo.net/bppv.html (positional vertigo short version)

There is an exercise therapy that is very useful to combat the symptoms described at:
http://ivertigo.net/bdexercsies.html  ( short version )

More details are available elsewhere on the website.

Best regards,
