Question
I've got a friend with constant vertigo.  I heaqrd of a novel new treatment where patients are put through a series of maneuvers that looks like they are "thrown down" on surfaces to drive the vestbular fluid into a new position or to distribute it better.   What do you know about this, where is it done and is there any web reference to learn more about it.

Thank you.  Ken Olsen

Answer
Dear Ken:

Most likely you are referring to the modern re-do of the Semont maneuver called the Epley Maneuver.  It is described on my website at:
http://ivertigo.net/vertigo/vertherapy2.html

You can find out about places that treat people with vertigo, particularly positional vertigo from the VEDA website at:
http://www.vestibular.org/

Best regards,
