Question
My, wife, age 76 has been experiencing dizzyness for about 5 years and it continues to get worse. For the past week she is experiencing a spinning sensation, and nothing helps.

she has been examined by an ear specialist, a neurogolist, had mri's, nerve test, muscle test, brain scans, but nothing has been found.

where should we go next?  We live in Napa, CA, is there any specialist in Northern California, that we can contact?

Answer
Dear John:

I am sorry for your wife's dizziness. It is often the case that all the tests are normal.  I do not know a specialist in Northern California, but the best person on the West Coast is at UCLA.  His name is Robert Baloh and he is at the Reed Neurological Institute in Los Angeles.

Best regards
