Question
Im forty yrs old and for the first time I was
treated for vertigo or (an inner ear infection)
per the dr. I have never heared of this I am
completely in the dark. I was referred to a specialist after being seen in E.R. Is this
something that will likely occur again. I am very
afraid becouse my mother died from a brain
hemerrage?

Answer
Dear R Vaughan:

Minor ear infections can cause vertigo that usually disappears in a few days or weeks.  It is unlikely to come again and is not associated with a serious brain hemorrahge such as your mother had.

I hope that answers your question.

Best regards,
