i formatted my uncles computer installed all the drivers then the gfx drivers last did reboot whole system goes into 4bit screen like big blocks and wrong colors the driver was straight off the nvidia site and the computer is a custom built machine iv built a few systems and its beyond me plz help

Answer
Nvidia's drivers are quite large and alot can happen when you download them. It may have just become corrupted in the download. It happens.

Continually press F8 before windows start to enter safe mode.
Once in safe mode right click my computer. Choose manage. Scroll down to device manager and expand display adapters. Right clcik your card and choose uninstall or remove.
Go to control panel - add/remove programs. Uninstall and nvidia software for video cards.
Reboot
When entering windows cancel the device wizard.
Got to Nvidia'a website and download the newest drivers for your card. Install the drivers and reboot.
All should be OK now
You can also make sure the video card is in properly. They do wiggle out sometimes and even a hair out can cause problems. Open the case and remove the card completely. Reinstall the card and make sure it is snug. Replace the screw, close the case and boot up.
