Question
This a new motherboard, cpu, RAM and power supply install.
Microscope 2005 won't boot, HD won't boot. Nothing on screen
at all.

Post code is AA (display configuration) AMI 7267 Bios, MSI MB 945GM3,
CPU is Pentium Dual Core E2200, LGA775, 2.20 GHz, 1 MB L2 Cache,
800 MHz FSB.

All voltages appear normal and are present at HD and FDD. Fans come on.
WindowsXP Home on HD.

Update:

Someone said there should be beep codes for any hardware problem.

Well I don't get any beep codes, no noise except 3 fans running.
What I did was purchase a new PCI Video Card, I didn't order digital but that's what they sent me. It has an adapter with it for regular VGA so I assume it is backwards compatible?

Still no video even for POST or BIOS.  Still get the trouble code AA for display configuration. I tore it down again and checked that the cpu was seated properly, but still nothing on monitor at all.

I need Help.

Doug

Answer
i think the best thing to do would be start one piece at a time.
Remove all drive cables, memory and video card from the motherboard.
Boot up
It should beep
Insert one memory chip and boot
it should still beep
Do the same with any remaining mem chips
Install the video card - it should not beep now
Enter the bios and load the setup defaults
if you dont get this far try resetting the bios by moving the reset jumper or removing the battery for a few hours (unplug it from the wall also).
If you get anything on the screen cannect a cdrom and try booting from a cd
if that works connect the hard drive and try booting (you may want to try setting the SATA mode to IDE in bios if you are having problem with the hard drive).

let me know how it goes
