Subject: 2x GeForce8600GTS w/ SLI enabled freezing the comp.

Question
I recently added in a second geForce 8600GTS 256mb to my SLI rig, enabled the SLI feature and started playing a game (i started easy with World of Warcraft then i was gonna see what they could really do on Crysis). When i start the game (World of warcraft) within 10 minutes the game freezes and the computer locks up completely.

stats:
-Motherboard p5n32-SLI Premium
intel core 2 duo 2.66Ghz 2gigs RAM
-Vid Cards 2x Nvidia e-GeForce 8600 GTS 256mb
- Power 600w Cooler Master
vid drivers are up to date on both the cards and the board and the game is up to date with recent patches and content.

Answer
Did you install drivers after you enabled SLI?
I have noticed that some of the SLI drivers will install differently after SLI is enabled.
Go to safe mode and uninstall the nvidia software. then go to device manager and expand display adapter and right click each card, choose uninstall - remove.
Reboot
Cancel the device wizard, and go to nvidia's website
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
Download the driver for your card and operating system. One drive should install for both cards. Enable SLI and check function.
