Question Hi
I am having problems with my graphics driver. My card is only 6 months old and will no longer play games or view some web pages. What I get is either the screen freezing and needing to reboot or the screen becomes covered in coloured lines. I have downloaded the most recent driver from this website but there was no improvement. Do I need another card or is there something else wrong?
Thanks very much
Cathy
Answer Download and run this program http://www.stevengould.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=28&Itemid=7...
Reboot
Then go to start-programs-accessories-system tools-disk defragmenter
Run that that - it may take little while
reboot
DOwnload the driver here http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
Do not install it.
Right click my computer and choose manage. Scroll down to device manager - expand display adapters - right click your card and choose remove/uninstall.
Then go to control panel - add remove programs. Uninstall any Nvidia drivers and/or software.
Reboot
Cancel the device/hardware wizard.
Install the driver you downloaded
