Question I am using a NVDIA GE Force 6600 PCI Express 256mb.
My pc is connected to the TV using a 15M RCA cable.
At first the picture was black and white and flickering. I managed to solve that by installing a forceware driver but now I get some background noise in the movie and also I find some white diagonal lione on the TV screen. Please advise. Thank you very much
Answer The driver you installed - was it from Nvidia's website?
If so do the following - if not get the newest driver from them.
In the control panel there should be an applet to open the video card settings. In there is the monitor's you are using. There is also a setting for TV's. In my there is Nvidia desktop manager. There is a button on the bottom for TV wizard. You must run this so the card can detect the TV. Settings for a TV are different than settings for a monitor - although you can get a display on the tv without running this, like the lines you talk about.
Finish that up and get everything setup.
you can also make sure your codecs are up to date. free codec pack here: http://www.codecguide.com/download_mega.htm
