Question Onboard Graphic card with 4GB RAM or PCI Express on MOBO MSI G31M?
Hi I am using WIndows XP Prof. SP2 on My Machine and I
would like to know if i should install a PCI Express or On board Graphics card will do the job. My System Configiration:
MOBO: MSI G31M
Processor: Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs)
Memory: 2GB
DVMT in BIOs gives options, 128 or 256 or Maximum to choose from.
Is there any on board graphic card on MSI G31M Mother Board?
I also have nVIDIA XFX GeForce 6200 256MB DDR TurboCache PCI Express x16 Video Card ( DVI VGA S-Video ) with me. what should i go with onboard graphics or this particular PCI Express Graphics card.
Or Should i make my RAM 4GB and go with on board graphic Card, as DVMT in BIOs gives options, 128 or 256 or Maximum to choose from?
I don't have any idea which to option to choose or wether instaling 2 more GBs of RAM while using onboard RAM is good idea or not?

Answer If you have a discrete card, such as the GeForce 6200, thats better than the onboard graphics, just disable the onboard graphics and use the discrete card you have, it will provide better performance and won't eat up system memory. As far as upgrading the RAM, adding more RAM to the system won't really provide a massive benefit (beyond 2GB), and adding more than ~64MB in the allocation to the integrated graphics won't really benefit it.
