Question According to Second Life System Requirements I need at least a NVIDIA GeForce 6600 or better, I have GeForce Go 6150, I dont know much about computers, so do I download an update, or do I have to go buy something. Sorry, if it's a stupid question, I dont know a thing when it comes to computers...
Answer First go to Nvidia's website and download the newest driver for your card and operating system.
Do not install them.
Go to device manager. Expand display adapters and right click your card. Choose remove or uninstall. Don't reboot.
Go to add/remove programs and uninstall any Nvidia software.
Reboot
Cancel the device wizard
Install the new driver
Reboot
Check the games website to updates or patches (almost all games come out with a patch).
Check function. If you can get into the game turn down all the dispaly settings to the minimum.
If you can't get into the game or the changing the setting dowsn't work you'll need to get a newer video card.
