Hi. I fried my regular psp battery, so i no longer have one. However, i do have a pandora battery. When i put my pandora battery into my psp, it turns on for like 2 seconds, then shuts off. However, when i plug my power cord into the psp, and turn it on, it works fine. So whats wrong with my pandora battery?

Your Pandora Battery will not work as a normal battery (Unless it is converted back to a normal battery)

The battery of a psp has flash memory, EEPROM, on it with boot information for the system.  (Yes believe it or not the battery has some firmware on it)  The Pandora Battery when used a magic memory stick will be able to bring your PSP back to life from a bricked situation.  It is the combination of the microcode on the battery and Stick that allows this to happen.  Now Pandora Battery has this boot code in it's EEPROM (Even though most of the time it is just a regular PSP Battery)  You have to over write the Pandora microcode and set it back to standard.  The Pandora battery does not have the right boot code on it to just ran a normal PSP.  

Now the bad part is you need another normal PSP Battery or have been wise enough to back up you battery EEPROM microcode to set it back to standard.  You can however download this from the Internet and transfer it to you PSP via a memory stick.

Without getting into a huge amount of detail (Because you can google up instructions and you-tube video on the subject)  The basic will be power up you PSP without the Pandora Battery or Magic memory stick via the power cord/charger.  Once up put in the Pandora battery and Magic memory stick.  (Now this would also depend on what version of the Magic Memory stick program you have as some have the code to change the battery back to spec and others don't)  Use the program on the magic memory stick to redump the microcode into the PSP batterys EEPROM.  (This usually assumes you have it backed up or are able to down load the EEPROM code from somewhere)  Remover the memory stick and try powering just with battery.
