Question
i think my little sister put coins in the disc tray of my ps3 and it says that its loading but it is taking forever and when i pick up my ps3 and kind of lightly shake it i can hear what i think is coins what should i do?

Answer
Gday Euan,

Firstly chop little sisters hands off so she will not be inclined to do it again.  (I fondly remember stories with VCR's and toast.  LOL)

I would power on the PS3.  Press the eject button so the door opens.  Then pull the power plug so the tray stays open.  Attempt to shake out the coins this way with the door open.  Hopefully the coins will just fall out.  (Also hope they are just stopping the mechanism from moving properly so thus not reading your disk properly and nothing worse.)

If they don't come out they you are looking at pulling the cover off the PS3 unit and attempting to find out what is rattling.

Once they come out hopefully your unit will work again properly.  If not worst case is you might be replacing the blu ray drive.
