Question
QUESTION: I bought a video poker machine manufactured by G tech corp. which I haven't been able to fix. I was able to pull up the menu but it wont let me select anything because its telling me to wait because its printing. You can manually print a test page but the MCU is not communicating with the printer. I don't have a configuration for the MCU's dip switches and are not even sure they have anything to do with the printer. The MCU has 8 dip switches.

ANSWER: Gday Chris,

I don't have a clue.  I double check the printer cable from the main PCB to the printer, because you know the printer is working.  (Hell even give it a shot at booting with each dip switch on hoping one tells the MCU that there is no printer attached.)

The good thing is GTECH is still in business, actually one of the bigger gambling companies.  (If they help you on this old machine is another thing)

Sorry I could not help you further.

QUESTION: Thank you for your input Octane, just had another quick question for you. Do you know where I might find anymore information or service/operator manual on an older G-tech machine like mine?

Answer
Gday Again Chris,

Occasionally manuals do pop up on Ebay but not very often.  Sometime I do find manuals for ]old machines via google.  (Usually more often than not I don't)

Again the company is still in business an email to them is not going to hurt the worst your going to get is a non-response.
