Video Game Repair/Golden Tee Complete

I have a 2005 GT complete. It has a green motherboard. There is no activity on IDE drive, but it is spinning. Status light 1 is green. Status light 2 is not lit. There is a light right near status 2 lit red at location D77 on the motherboard, DTR written below it. When I pressed start while powering up the error code flashed 8 times and repeat. The symptoms were: there was a popping sound while between games, and the screen went white. Try reset and stays white. No game sounds.
There was an issue before this happened. I don't know if it is related. The resolution of the screen changed. I could no longer see the sides of the screen. I was still able to play by adjusting video from right to left to see the hole yardage or the green slope. Now there is nothing. Please help! thank you for your time and trouble. Ron

It sounds like you've got a bad video card on the board. Try this for me- unplug the hard drive from the board (the IDE cable and power) and turn it on. Do the status lights come on?

Second, unplug the video card from the board and clean the edge connector, then replace it. Try booting it up again.

This should say which part needs replaced- hard drive or video card.

Good luck!

I can answer questions regarding coin-operated arcade game questions down to the logic board. Error codes, erratic operation, dead boards, I can help with them all. I can help with video monitors on a very limited and basic level only.

I have spent nearly 20 years as an avid arcade collector, and spent nearly 10 of those years as the lead tech for a large arcade operator, doing work for manufacturers and other coin-operated amusement companies around the globe. I maintain a good sized collection of arcade games, as well as a large inventory of spare parts for a wide range of arcade machines.
