Question
Mr. Penzone,

I'll be brief I'm certain your busy.   I just bought old school Atari 2600 unit.  Is there anyway you could tell me what cords are needed to connect to a modern day tv.

Thank you for your time,

Chris

Answer
I love seeing old systems being used again! It's actually very easy- you'll need only the following:

Coaxial (F-type) to Female RCA Adapter
Radio Shack part #278-276

This part can be found on Amazon here for a couple of dollars.

http://www.amazon.com/RiteAV-Female-F-Type-Coax-Adapter/dp/B000V1O1LM/ref=sr_1_1

All you'll do is plug your RCA plug from the Atari into this, and then plug this into the coaxial cable input on your TV, and that's it!

Good luck and happy gaming!

Brian

Expertise

I can answer questions regarding coin-operated arcade game questions down to the logic board. Error codes, erratic operation, dead boards, I can help with them all. I can help with video monitors on a very limited and basic level only.

Experience

I have spent nearly 20 years as an avid arcade collector, and spent nearly 10 of those years as the lead tech for a large arcade operator, doing work for manufacturers and other coin-operated amusement companies around the globe. I maintain a good sized collection of arcade games, as well as a large inventory of spare parts for a wide range of arcade machines.
