We just recently bought this game. When you turn it on it makes all the noises the green grid comes up at first and then screen starts flashing all these letters and numbers and then goes to the screen I have attached a picture of. You can hear it playing but the screen stays white. Can you tell me what to do next?

Answer
This may be an easy fix. here's what I want you to try:

Open the game and unplug the board from the harness. Carefully disconnect the boards from each other and clean the connectors. Be sure that the connectors go back together correctly! See if this works. If it does not, remove the board again and look at the socketed chips. It's likely that the legs will be black instead of silver. VERY VERY gently remove the chips with a flathead screwdriver and clean the legs with a pencil eraser. Put the chips back in correctly and try it again.

If this doesn't work, let me know and we'll go deeper.

Expertise

I can answer questions regarding coin-operated arcade game questions down to the logic board. Error codes, erratic operation, dead boards, I can help with them all. I can help with video monitors on a very limited and basic level only.

Experience

I have spent nearly 20 years as an avid arcade collector, and spent nearly 10 of those years as the lead tech for a large arcade operator, doing work for manufacturers and other coin-operated amusement companies around the globe. I maintain a good sized collection of arcade games, as well as a large inventory of spare parts for a wide range of arcade machines.
