Question
Hi,

i have a 48 in 1 PCB that the sound is really low and very choppy. i have tried adjusting the volume in the set up menu but it made very little difference, i also turned up the pot up to maximum but this made very little difference also.

my 60 in 1 works flawlessly in the same cabinet so the hardware in it appears to be all good.

so has anyone have any idea what this could be?

Thanks

Answer
Hey ToeJam (have you seen Earl around?)

The 48 in one boards can be notorious for glitches in the software and hardware, and it sounds like you may have one that has sound issues. If you recently purchased it, I would seek to return it for an exchange. Unfortunately, these boards are not easily worked on.

Hope this helps,
Brian

Expertise

I can answer questions regarding coin-operated arcade game questions down to the logic board. Error codes, erratic operation, dead boards, I can help with them all. I can help with video monitors on a very limited and basic level only.

Experience

I have spent nearly 20 years as an avid arcade collector, and spent nearly 10 of those years as the lead tech for a large arcade operator, doing work for manufacturers and other coin-operated amusement companies around the globe. I maintain a good sized collection of arcade games, as well as a large inventory of spare parts for a wide range of arcade machines.
