Video Game Repair/Big Event Golf -arcade game

Just cleaned ball to game, now it spins right but for some reason when I spin ball when game is playing the "golf ball" only dribbles to the left or right off tee.

If the ball was working properly before you took it apart, it's possible one of two things happened- either you've plugged the connectors into the wrong axis (meaning up and down is plugged into left and right and vice versa) or the encoder wheel is not being picked up by the receiver correctly. It's very unlikely that the circuitry has gone bad.

Try opening the ball up and "swinging" the club by spinning the appropriate roller. Does it work fine there? If so, then you've got a worn out roller issue (you likely see a worn area in the middle of the rollers).

Let me know what you find out!

I can answer questions regarding coin-operated arcade game questions down to the logic board. Error codes, erratic operation, dead boards, I can help with them all. I can help with video monitors on a very limited and basic level only.

I have spent nearly 20 years as an avid arcade collector, and spent nearly 10 of those years as the lead tech for a large arcade operator, doing work for manufacturers and other coin-operated amusement companies around the globe. I maintain a good sized collection of arcade games, as well as a large inventory of spare parts for a wide range of arcade machines.
