Question
I have a Tekken 2 stand up arcade game that wont turn on anymore. When i got it it didn't turn on until i tapped on the silver box inside and a green light turned on. I turned it off after a couple weeks to save power and now i can turn it back on. The monitor turns on but not the game and the silver box isnt showing a green light anymore. How can i fix this

Answer
Hi Nick,

This should be an easy fix! The "silver box" is the power supply, and it sounds like it has failed. You can purchase a replacement for about $30 here:

It is easy to change out- all you'll need is a phillips head screwdriver, and replace them one at a time.

Hope this helps!

I can answer questions regarding coin-operated arcade game questions down to the logic board. Error codes, erratic operation, dead boards, I can help with them all. I can help with video monitors on a very limited and basic level only.

Experience

I have spent nearly 20 years as an avid arcade collector, and spent nearly 10 of those years as the lead tech for a large arcade operator, doing work for manufacturers and other coin-operated amusement companies around the globe. I maintain a good sized collection of arcade games, as well as a large inventory of spare parts for a wide range of arcade machines.
