Subject: PSP Dropped in SODA

Question
Hello. i just started having problems after i accidentally dropped it on soda, but i quickly got it out. i tried turning it on and i didn't so i took out the game inside, the memory card and the battery out quickly and put my psp close to a fan so it would dry. after a while, i put everything back on and i worked but now it wont read my games anymore...why is that?

Answer
Sounds more than likely that the lens and motors and other various parts inside the drive mechanism have been gummed up by the soda. If you are handy or at least careful, there are guides and walkthroughs for disassembling PSPs online. Follow these guides and clean out the parts that were gummed up by the soda, but be aware that disassembling your PSP will void any existing warranty you may have.
