Question
When a friend of mine took apart my psp he was guided by an online guide. The guide said when taking off the screen the backlight connector just pops off. well the thing is it does pop off..when you break it. Now idk how to connect it back. glue? solder? what do i do?

Answer
Hi,
I know the guide you're referring to and your friend isn't their first victim. I don't know why they're telling people to do that as it's obviously not accurate info but all you can do is write to them and complain. Anyway, if you're handy with this sort of thing you only need to connect the two outside pins to their respective traces to get it working again. Soldering would re-create a solid connection but it's very delicate work. You might want to try using a trace/circuit writer pen, (usually available at radio shack), to form the conncections and plain glue to hold the connector itself in place on the motherboard. I've had several of these come through and charge $59 to do the job if you'd rather not mess with it yourself. Thanks, Lynn
