Question Hi, I have sound from the headphones..but no sound when i take them out. I consider myself pretty handy and have gotten the PSP apart w/ no problems. My question is I guess, does the WiFi board just pull out or is it soldered down to the headphone jack. It seems to stick right around the area where the jack plug is located. I just don't want to apply to much pressure and screw up anything else. I did notice there was some broken solder underneath the board. So do you think this why I have no sound from the speakers? Any help would appreciated.
Answer Hi,
The headphone jack is attached to the wi-fi PCB but once you have the PSP entirely apart it should easily lift out. If you can solder the jack back down properly the speakers will probably work just fine again but sometimes the board itself is damaged and the only way around it is to buy a new one. Thanks, Lynn
