Question the green light on my psp turns on but the screen doesn't turn on, it stays completely blank. the screen isn't cracked or anything like that but it seems that there is a missing connection between the screen and perhaps the motherboard.

If you put a game in and it still starts up normally it may just be a connection/corrosion problem but if not it's pretty much guaranteed to be a "brick" which means the firmware is either absent or corrupted. Unfortunately the only way a repair shop like mine could fix it would be to install a new motherboard and they're going for about $100 right now. Sony offers an out-of-warranty exchange deal though for about $90 so you might want to give them a call and see if they can help. Thanks, Lynn
