Question my friend gave me a psp because he got a new one. his sister dropped it down a few stairs and a drop off about 10 ft. nothing works when you try turn it on, but when u go to charge it up the orange light comes on that indicates charging. i dont want to spend much money on this because the back cover where the games go has broken off also. what do i do to fix my psp.
Answer Sounds like something in the PMU (power management unit) got damaged and the PSP isnt getting power or isnt recognizing the switch being activated. Not really an easy fix. I would suggest talking to Sony and see how much they might charge to fix it. There are also many websites that specialize in PSP repairs, so if Sony charges too much for your tastes, Google some reputable PSP repair services.
