Subject: disc skip fixer

Question
i have a midnight club 3 remix game[used] that is not working every time i play the career mode and tokyo challenge that if you go on the loading screen, it does not work.. but when i played the arcade mode, it works!! do you think i should buy a disc skip fixer or a new disc?? i played my ps2 games, it works.. except for midnight club 3..

Answer
It really sounds like you've either got a scratch on the portion of the disc that has the Tokyo Challenge on it. If you can see any scratches, at all, getting it cleaned up wold be a good bet. It may be possible though that the foil layer has a chip in it, which is not repairable.
