Question
I can't recharge my psp battery using the stock ac adapter. The orange light doesn't appear and it looks like it didn't try charging the battery. I pulled out the battery and try running it but its not getting anything. Is there a way to fix this problem?

Answer
While this isn't in my area of expertise, i can try to help as much as possible.

The first thing that you should do is try to determine if the AC charger is putting out any voltage. You can do this with a voltmeter if you happen to have one.

If it is putting out voltage, then the problem is in your PSP.

If that is the case, i would suggest removing the case and looking at the solder connections on the bottom of the AC plug connector. What may have happened is that you "bent" the plug while it was in the PSP, causing the solder to crack, and stop making an electrical connection with the charging circuit. The fix for this would be to reflow the solder on the circuit board to restore the connection.

Your options are:
1) Replace AC charger
2) Reflow solder at charger plug inside the PSP
3) Replace plug on PSP (DO NOT do this if you are not comfortable with soldering/desoldering!!!!!)
4) Replace PSP
