About Trey McGowan Expertise I can answer strategy questions for just about any video games. RPGs and collecting/raising sims are my major specialty, though I am also experienced in general strategy games, a variety of MMORPGs, and possibly even some much more esoteric ones. I can't promise that I'll be able to answer all your questions from personal experience, but I can promise that if I can't, I will do my utmost to research the answer before I give it to you.
Best consoles to ask about: NES, SNES, GB/GBC, GBA, Playstation, Playstation II. If you are asking outside of this list, please give a little extra time for some research to be done on the game.
Please note: if you are wanting a particular version of strategy (i.e. a *fast* playthrough, a powerful playthrough, a challenge game, a specific boss beat in a specific way), make sure the details are added. The more I know about what *you* want to know, the better.
Experience I am an avid player of video games of various types, including RPGs, strategy games, MMORPGs, et cetera. I have been playing since the Atari 1300 days, and even back then, learning the strategy and the like of the games was as interesting as beating it.

Question "The North Wing" - O.K. I am completely stuck at the very last part in this visit. The part where you need to light all 5 torches (in the shape of a star) to receive the Hands of Amun from the King Rameses sarcophagus.
When you light up one torch it sends out 2 flames lighting up two more torches. But when going for the 4th torch it will light up the 5th one but extinguish a previously lit torch. How can this puzzle be possible if each torch emits two flames of fire?
[draw out a star and place circles on each end. when one torch is lit the two flames follow the corresponding lines to two more torches.]
I was at it for more than likely an hour, and nothing. Please, I need your help.
And yes, I've read the section in the Walkthrough, and they say "you need to figure it out to your advantage".
Thank you for helping me!!
Answer Hi there, Laura!
Ahhh, puzzles like these have given many people fits throughout the years. A lot of the time, just lighting and 'unlighting' torches (or whatever else) will eventually find the answer, but as I'm sure you've noticed, it can be a difficult and frustrating way to go.
The thing is, the two flames that are sent out will light an unlit torch, and extinguish a lit one. So what you need to do is make sure that you have the two torches beside one another unlit before you light that final torch.
The best way to do this one is to start empty. Light the torch at the bottom of the 'star' (the point facing down essentially), light the one at the upper right-hand corner, then light the upper left-hand corner.
Hopefully that'll help out! If not, let me know and we'll see where we can get you from where you are in the puzzle! But I *think* that should light up your li-... I mean your torches.
