AboutJeff Clark Expertise I can answer most questions on vintage-car history and trivia, but there are three things I can't help with:
1) repair questions
2) "where-can-I-find-the-VIN-on-my-car?" questions
3) what's-my-car-worth questions
I'm not a mechanic, I can't know the location of every VIN plate on every vehicle ever made, and I can't appraise a vehicle I can't see.
Experience I've been a classic-car fanatic my entire life, and have spent most of my free time studying the automotive industry and its history.

Question I was told that only 26, 1969 convertible Cutlass "S" 's were made,Is this true?
Answer The only info I can find that verifies that number is that 26, 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass S convertibles were built with the "W-31 350" package. Here's the link:
This was an expensive performance package that was the factory equivalent of a "blueprinted" car, a package one would expect to find in a 4-4-2, but for some odd reason was offered across the entire Olds 2-door line-up in 1969, even the bare-bones F85 2-door sedan. I can't find any other figures for Cutlass S convertible production, but I'm sure Oldsmobile built far more than just 26 regular convertibles in the Cutlass S trim level for that year.
