Expert: Nancy Date: 4/12/2008 Subject: persian violets
Question i buy a persian violet every year when they are available. are they seasonable, or am i doing something wrong? they always die out. should i repot, or leave them in original pot?
Answer Persian violets should be treated as annuals, that is, once they have lost their vigor, buy a new one.
Persian violets are not African Violets. Persian violets are from the family Exactum, while African Violets are from the family Gesneriacae.
