Question The bottom leaves on several of my plants are turning white. They are flowering and the leaves feel strong; only a change in the color of the bottom leaves. I hate to break them off, as they feel as strong as the green ones. Any suggestions??
Answer This is the natural way for African violets. The last row of leaves will either dry up or rot off from age and too much water.
Just take the last row of leaves off the plant. Be sure to repot the plant twice a year to give sufficient nutrients to insure nice healthy green leaves.
