Question sure hope u can help me with this small problem i have..i have had my av for many yrs.they are doing great..here last week when i went to water my plants. i found on one of my av ,small seed like black seed its not growing in the stem,it more like a small black seed on them and only on the one plant.this is the frist i have saw it.i put the av in the kitchen sink and kinda gave it a bath to remove the seed like spots.my question is what is it.i did not find any knid of bug crawling on them the soil is good..im at a total loss as to what it is.the av is doing great so its not killed it but its got me bugging as to what it is...they were stuck on the stems in the fine hair the stems has.so if u know what these black like seeds are please let me know..thanks

I can't imagine what this could be! It might be eggs left by any number of insects but usually eggs are white.
I would say to just brush off these black seed and pierce one with a sharp instrument. If you have a microscope or loupe, you might look further into what they might be.
