Question
what is best light direction, n,e,s, w.  mine wont bloom

Answer
African violets need good light with no direct sun.  It depends where you live as to the best direction.

For instance I live in Montreal so a Southwest direction is fine.  If you live in the south, this direction would definitely be too hot and likely too bright so you would do well with an easterly direction.

So, not knowing where you live, I suggest you observe the sun in windows of each direction and choose the one that gives at least four hours of bright light with no direct sun.

Also your plant may do better if you change the soil about twice a year and of course give 1/4 teaspoon fertilizer, say, 20-20-20, to a gallon of water at every watering.  Every 6th watering may be given from the tap (use warm water) in order to wash away fertilizer salts.

Good luck!
