About Al Dzina
Expertise
I can answer questions about violin and guitar making and restoration. I will not answer questions about playing these instruments, because I am a maker, not a player.

Experience
I was trained in violin making in Germany and have been working at this craft for sixty years.

Question
The fretboard on my chinese violin has come loose - too little adhesive? Can I just stick it back onto the neck of the violin with wood adhesive?
Thanks

Mick

Answer
Hi Mick;
I would not use wood adhesive. You should use Titebond Hide Glue. The fingerboard is a removable part and should not be glued with a permanent wood glue. Clean off all the old glue from the neck and fingerboard before using the Hide glue.
