Question Hi,
I was hoping you may be able to appraise a violin that i found in my attic. It is an Aubert violin no.163H 4/4 It was made in Romania. It also has the number 20267. The violin has not been played in probably over 10 years, but is in near mint condition. If a photograph is needed i will gladly send you won. The original bow and case are included.
Answer Hi Ryan,
I will need to see a photo of the front, back, and (side-view) of the scroll in order to give a dollar figure. Aubert is a French brand name - but the Romanians have been all too happy to disregard the intellectual property of other countries and brands (kinda like China); some of the student instruments coming from there are quite nice though, selling for between $800 and $1500 dollars. Send the pictures to dalton@pottersviolins.com
Cheers!
