Question
Hi, I am looking to sell or trade a 1924 German-made voilin, but cannot find
specific information about it.  The inside reads:
1924
Neuner u. Hornstiener
nach modell
nic Amati cremona

its in good condition, however the bridge is broken.
Thanks for any and all help!!

Answer
Hi Mathew, I have been traveling on business and have not been available to answer your question. A 4/4 size Neuner Hornsteiner Amati copy in good condition should start around $1200. They are considered to be above-average student violins from the 1800's German violin  production. Violins which measure less than 14 inches on the length of the back (not including the bump where the neck joins the body) are considered "fractional" sizes and should be priced a bit lower.
Hope this Helps!
