Question I wrote to you earlier and want to include my location. We reside in Woodbury, NY (surburb of Long Island ) approx 40-45 mins. from NYC. We would like to restore our Grandfathers Violin. It has a label that reads
" Gio. Bap. Lucca anno 1800
Carlo Bergonzi
Fecit in Cremona"
Our Grandfather recieved this violin from John Bowman an arranger for orchesta leader, Paul Whiteman. Mr Whiteman was helpful in making George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue famous. Our granfather rec'd this viloin aprrox 1918 to 1922 when as a young man began his viloin studies. Thank you for this enermous undertaking in aiding us in the proper direction.
