Hi Steve. Thanks again for your promptness. here are a few more pics. The pegs aren't original. One is but I don't know if it's original either. They wouldn't stick anymore so we had them changed to play it.

Ok.I can see by the grain of the wood it's not Italian. The front has no varnish left which I have never seen before. The back looks crude I'm afraid. It's probably going to cost more than the violin is worth to do the front. Sorry to be so blunt but I thought you'd like the truth.
