Subject: Value of Old German Violin?

Question
I went to a local violin shop here in Atlanta and purchased an old german violin. I was wondering what the value of this violin may be? They told me it was between 80 and 100+ years old. It doesn't have a label but it's branded on the wood inside. Fernando Sacconi Roma. It looks like it's had several repairs on the top plate and probably not the original neck. It does sound good for a violin in this price range. I purchased it for $1560. Thanks for any information about this violin.

Answer
Hi Ethan;
F. Sacconi, B.1895, D.1974 Born in Rome, Moved to the U.S. in 1931 N.Y. Worked from 1912 - 1950. Name should be branded under end pin. If real
Sacconi should have value of between $16,900 to $22,500.
Al;

P.S. How did you determine it was German?
