what are the sizes of violins?  how long are they?

Answer
Hi Bella;
A violin is measured by its body length only. Take the distance from next to the heel to the bottom of the instrument.The sizes are as follows:
14" = 4/4 full size
13" = 3/4 size
12" = 1/2 size
11" = 1/4 size
10" = 1/8 size
9"  = 1/16 size
