My husband is currently over seas in the navy and will be porting there July 31st. I was wondering if you know anything about the Chesapeake area? I have currently locked on an apartment. (StoneBridge Apt in chesapeake.) I am currently in Texas so everything I did was over the internet researching about Va. Haven't had much feedback from anyone actually living there. If you could let me know that would be great. Thanks for your time.

I live in Virginia Beach which is next to Chesapeake. The entire area surrounding is called Hampton Roads area. I am not familiar with exactly where your apt is located, but please feel free to write agasin with the address and I'll check out the area. Otherwise, Chesapeake is very nice. It is lively, a very active city and you will have tremendous support from all the new neighbors and friends you will meet. People are very friendly there and this is also a major military area. Shopping is great as is entertainment ventures. Most people who relocated here while in the military have ended up returning for good. Relax and welcome to Virginia. You will love it!
