Question Ok, here's my last question: What's the difference between Chesapeake and VA Beach areas? You mentioned checking out Chesapeake, and it was rated as one of the "best cities" by money magazine. What's you opinion on the area? What makes it a "hot city?"
Thanks for you help,
Jennifer
Answer Hi Jennifer,
Sorry for the delay in answering. I've been out of town. Chesapeake borders Virginia Beach and Norfolk. It's a newer developed area, where many young families from the area have moved because new housing has been more affordable for the mini mansions they're building. It still provides easy access to the cities for employment and entertainment. Shopping is excellent there. We play golf there and have relatives who live there. Since it has more land available than the Beach houses are on larger plots. Everyone I know who lives there, loves it. It's not as big as Virginia Beach, yet it's only a 5/10 minute drive to either city.
Hope this helps. If you go on line for Real Estate for the area you can get a good idea as to housing in your price range. Biggest difference is the taxes. Much lower than up North. Happy 4th
