Visual Basic/VB6 Database

I am facing some problems while I want to connect with database,vb6;
1)I want to add data ('Name' field) to database with uppercase in VB6 and other fields in Proper case. (2)When I add a name like Pradip,the code will create automatic,e.g., the code of Pradip,Sex:Male will be P0001M, Banasree,Sex:Female, will be B0001F, then Pratap,Sex:Male, the code will be P0002M;

Please sir, help me; I am awaiting for your positive suggestions and solutions.

the data stored will conform to some types. but when you retrieve the data and display you need to use a function like

Dim Ret As String
Private Sub Command1_Click()
Label1 = UCase(Text1)
Call Prop(Text1)
Label2 = Ret
End Sub
   Public Function Prop(ByVal mString As String) As String
   If Len(Trim(mString)) > 1 Then
   Dim First As String
   Dim Rest As String
   First = UCase(Mid(mString, 1, 1))
   Rest = LCase(Right(mString, Len(mString) - 1))
   Ret = First & Rest
      Ret = mString
   End If
   End Function

make changes as needed
