Question
I have 2001 VW Passat Wagon 1.8T Automatic. In big bold letters its says STOP! stop motor, oil press, service manuel? What does this mean? What wrong?

Answer
It means the engine isn't seeing enough oil pressure to safely lubricate the engine.  The 1.8T has had problems with sludge.  VW has extended the warranty to 8 years, but you must have full service records.  Does it only do it when hot and at idle, or more often?
