Question i have a 1991 super beetle auto stick with a bad engine. I know the oil pump is connected to the transmittion pump can i just change this in a standard engine without taking the engine completly apart?
Answer Hi Mark,
I am presuming you mean a 1971 autostick. If that is the case, you can remove the pump from the old engine and install it on to the new one without completely tearing apart your bad motor.
Make sure you clean it out well, and there is no metal shavings in it as a result of you old engine going.
