the first thing you should check is for good oil presser. if it is a little low but gets better as you rev it up. You might have a build up on the oil pump pick up. The 1.8t in the passat has been know for oil slug build up. The oil pan for this motor is not very deep because of the a frame. They do not hold a lot of oil for a turbo motor. if you have no oil presser I would replace the oil presser releife valve, and then check oil presser. If it still has low presser the oil pump is bad
