Subject: 01 VW Golf, ABS and Brake lights come on

Question
My ABS and Brake lights flash intermittently when running the A/C. Originally diagnosed as bad ABS Module. ABS module was changed and the same problem is occuring.My car is an A4 2.0 L engine and automatic transmission. it has about 136K miles

Answer
Hi Volkan;
Did anyone ever suggest the brake wear sensor on the drivers brake pad?  How about the instrument cluster?  ABS modules almost never die in Golf, Jetta, or Beetles.  They do fail in Passat's though.  I would inspect the drivers inner pad first, and then, if necessary, consider replacement of the instrument cluster.
