Question my jetta isnty gettin the correct gas miledge...when i spep on the gas sometimes it hesitates to go...when i crank it sometimes it takes several tries to keep it running..and if i usethe cruise comtrol sometimes it will shut orr then resume the speed i was goin....i think its the throttle body but im not sure..can u help me?
Answer Hi Brandon;
I think you are close, but I don't think it's the throttle body. I think it's the mass air flow sensor. Maybe that's what you meant, anyway. It's the part that goes on the air filter box. The throttle body goes on the intake manifold. Anyhow, like I said, you were close! A 2000 Jetta normally has a cable style throttle body, and an engine code of "AEG." The MAF sensors have been problems in these cars, and they will reduce the fuel economy, sometimes by 5 miles per gallon, or more in extreme cases.
Good luck, Brandon. Hope this gets you going better. You can take over my job.
