Question
Hi,I have a VW vento(petrol monotronic carburettor) 1.8 GLX 1996. the problem is : the engine have oscillation in  minimo. some time ,when I'm driving  the engine stop running  for a few seconds and after running again. could be the carburettor's problem?

Answer
Redi,
I am sorry but I am unfamiliar with your vehicle.  However you might check to see if your muffler or catyletic (sp) converter is partially plugged.  I have seen several instances where this has occurred and the symptoms are similar.  Hope this helps.  Jerry
