Subject: vw radio

Question
how do i get it out  i thought a couple strips of metal in the four corner slots would do it but nope any idea

Answer
David,
If this is an original radio from a 70's vintage VW, you should be able to remove it by first removing the knobs from the radio, and then loosening the two thin nuts that are screwed onto the volume and tuner shafts.  you then can remove the radio from the rear of the dash.  Hope this helps.  Jerry
